It's delightfully FRESH & "perfectly The Hamptons", in every way...

IMHO tho, you NOW wish to enjoy even MORE design "freedom" & individuality, & to encourage OTHERS to open their eyes & witness the beauty of "other" approaches available... There's so much MORE terriffic "independence" in pic #2... more self-assuredness that Y*O*U know it's "just right", without having your name "shouting it out".

It's subtle. It's simple. It's honest & it's real. I imagine this is a room for someone who deals with a lot of stress and wants serenity at the end of the day. As an interior designer and store owner I was very interested to hear your opinion about the blue room and I seem to detect a slight preference veering towards color again as opposed to the neutral rooms. Pity this is not a better photo as the deep, rich purple augergine color on the back pillows is so lovely! My store is still based on whites, neutrals, and greys but always has color thrown in. I am sure we will see a return to color shortly - but for right now it is still the serene neutrals that speak to me.
Thanks for stopping by - love to hear the opinions from all of you...
NancyHOUND HILL DESIGNhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16565109644916076444noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4248603254493131025.post-7876175712848180432010-02-05T10:58:29.677-05:002010-02-05T10:58:29.677-05:00I would say this is a room for those times when a ...I would say this is a room for those times when a grown child (a daughter) returns home to visit. Hmmm, ok - so analyzing the space, I'd say it was designed for a chic and sophisticated woman; either calm and collected by nature, or in a fast paced lifestyle or work environment that would leave her longing for a calm and serene space to find that calm and collected side of her. I would be willing to bet that she owns very feminine clothing, dresses, skirts, and that her wardrobe is made up of those things almost exclusively. She appreciates softness, and graceful lines. I don't think she's afraid of color, and once she finds the perfect fabric, she'll find somewhere to use it! Now, if I had to give this chic and sophisticated gal a name, I'd be willing to guess that her name is Nancy. ;) Please please please tell me I'm super close! :) Such a great make over and such a fantastic space!niartisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08328154164462941199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4248603254493131025.post-28209162960453487082010-01-23T15:20:36.550-05:002010-01-23T15:20:36.550-05:00I love the custom bedspread and headboard....Love,...I love the custom bedspread and headboard....Love, Love Love it!!!Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14645603898341520554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4248603254493131025.post-84795632792552302162010-01-23T14:51:32.282-05:002010-01-23T14:51:32.282-05:00oops, I forgot to guess who the room was designed ...oops, I forgot to guess who the room was designed for.
